Participate in Community, Social & Civic Life

Support to get out, connect, and be an active part of your community on your terms.

What is Community Participation Support?

Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities is an NDIS Core Support that provides one-on-one assistance from a dedicated support worker, enabling participants to engage with their local community, pursue social and recreational interests, and participate in civic life. This support goes beyond simply accompanying someone — it actively builds the participant's confidence, networks, and independence over time.

Disability Dream Care's community participation support workers are warm, engaging professionals who genuinely want to help participants live full, connected lives. They assist with getting to and from activities, provide support on arrival and during the activity, and help participants navigate any barriers they may encounter — whether physical, social, or communicative.

We know that social connection is a powerful determinant of health and wellbeing. Isolation is a real risk for many people with disability, and our community participation service is designed to counter this by creating reliable, consistent opportunities for participants to connect with people, places, and activities that bring them joy and purpose.

It is also valuable for participants who need help building confidence in new social environments.
